FUNDRAISING + COMMUNITY OUTREACH CONSULTANT

Hirundo is seeking a highly qualified consultant with experience developing and diversifying funding streams (including private and business donors, fundraising events, charity partnerships, and other mission-aligned revenue streams), and community outreach to develop key strategic partnerships.

 

Scope of work: (10hrs /week to start)

  • Fundraising:

    • Private donor growth​

    • Annual appeals

    • Business sponsorships

    • In-Kind donations

    • New revenue streams 

    • Organized tracking + acknowledgement systems

  • Outreach + Partnerships

    • Presentations

    • Media engagement​

    • Tabling + networking

    • Advisory council meetings

  • Other Duties

VOLUNTEER + RENTALS MANAGER (PT)

Hirundo is seeking an experienced employee to oversee volunteer management and rentals operation. This position is PT and varies depending on seasonal activities. Average weekly hours will range from 10-15hr/week. 

  • Volunteer Management: Responsible for ensuring the implementation of annual volunteer recruitment plan ensuring recruitment, tracking, retention and appreciation efforts

  • Rental Operations: Point of contact for Hirundo’s rental programs including recreational equipment (e.g., snowshoes, boats), venue spaces, and private guided paddles.

  • Other Duties such as community tabling opportunities 

Salary: starting at $20/hr

SEASONAL BOAT HANDLER (PT)

Hirundo is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Boat Handler to assist with our free canoe and kayak rentals on Saturdays from May through mid-October, spring 2026. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors and ensure they have filled out a liability waiver 

  • Ensure each guest receives a properly fitted PFD (life jacket) and paddle

  • Maintain an organized system for tracking rentals and sign-ins

  • Safely lift, maneuver, and transport canoes and kayaks as needed (up to 60lbs)

  • Provide basic safety guidance to guests (training provided) ​

Salary: $15.10/hr
