Community Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator (Part Time)

We are seeking an individual with strong fundraising, relationship-building, and communication skills to expand community partnerships, financial support, and volunteer base, for our mission
Role

Community Outreach (30 %)

Fundraising and Income Streams (40%)

Volunteer Management (20%)

Rental Program + Other Duties (10%)
Responsibilities:
-
Lead fundraising efforts + community partnerships
-
Plan + implement fundraising campaigns, solicit and track donations and sponsorships

Schedule + represent Hirundo at public events, tabling opportunities, and media engagements
-
Oversee volunteer recruitment + management
-
Manage equipment rental programs + site use fee requests
Requirements:
-
3+ years cultivating donors or business sponsors, preferred but not required
-
3-5 years experience in project management, preferred but not required
-
Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to nonprofit sector

Volunteer management experience
-
Strong organizational abilities
-
Strong written and oral communication skills including public speaking

Proficiency with technology + database management tools (including but not limited to Google Workspace, Mailchimp, social media)
Pay:
This position is Part-Time.
Up to $28/hr, commensurate with experience.
This position will be based between Hirundo, our University of Maine - based office, and outreach in the Greater Bangor community.
